“The curvy concrete ”
Kerremans worked as lead designer for B2AI Brussels, designing and building with the Brussels team a development called “zuidzicht” along the canal in the centre of Hasselt.
The masterplan consists of volumes rotated to maximise the river views, in between the volumes open communal gardens are stepping down towards the canal.
The architecture is curved, light and open, balconies are alternated to give maximum light in the living room areas. Distinctive double height penthouses are put on top.
We have managed to create an environment, where people who are used to the typical “countryside luxuries” live now happily in the city centre, because the light, the water, the views, the rooftop swimming pools, the carefully designed landscape and the architecture.
